The best way to arrange softcopy documents to be signed by approver while off campus

Recently we have received enquiries from administrative staff on handling multiple documents required supervisor / department head / senior management to sign electronically while working from home. To avoid sending message with large PDF document which might jam the recipient’s mailbox, there is a better alternative.

When you prepare multiple document files for signature by approver, there is a perception that combining multiple documents into one large PDF file and email to approver for adding multiple eSignatures is the most straight forward method.

In contrary, a large PDF file may take time to download and jam recipient’s mailbox; each time when approver inserts an eSignature, it requires to save the signed document again.

The suggested approach is to upload individual document required approval to OneDrive for Business and share the documents with specific approvers (e.g. supervisor / department head / senior management who needs to sign the documents).

Simply email the link of the OneDrive for Business folder to the approver who can click on the link and open the document, insert eSignature one by one. It is particularly efficient when handling a large PDF file.
