Students, alumni, staff and external parties can now make direct payments to the University conveniently with choices of popular payment methods on PolyU Online Payment Portal (POPP). Academic departments and central support units can leverage on POPP to collect fees flexibly and track payers’ payment status.
POPP is a mobile-friendly payment service, prevailing payment methods include FPS, Visa, Master and UnionPay Cards. WeChat and Alipay will be added in coming months to allow more payment options.
Payment Experience for general users
- Students, alumni, staff and external parties can select multiple items for payment before proceeding to use the preferred payment method for one-off settlement.
- Payers’ contact information is collected for enabling system to notify payers about the access link of POPP portal and to ease payers to check previous payment transactions or print out payment confirmations.
Academic departments and central support unit’s payment collection and administration work
Academic departments/ central support units can embed POPP into their workflows:
- Direct URL link is similar to Online Credit Card Payment (CCP) system but more flexible
- Payment Inquiry to view successful payments and item details
- Event Maintenance to view events and items setup
- Transaction Log to view full transaction logs including unsuccessful transactions
