We are excited to share our latest additions to the PolyU GenAI app - Qwen-72B-Chat and Mixtral-8x7B-Instruct-v0.1. These new open-source, large language models will be available to all PolyU staff and students to carry out inference chat commencing 1 April 2024.
Qwen-72B-Chat is an open-source AI model from Alibaba Cloud that excels in conversational understanding and response generation with 32K context length. The Qwen-72B-Chat has been pre-trained with three trillion tokens of multilingual data covering a wide domain of general and professional fields in Chinese and English.
Mixtral-8x7B-Instruct-v0.1 is an open-source AI model from Mistral AI that excels in reasoning and coding with 32K context length. The Mixtral-8x7B-Instruct-v0.1 model supports multiple languages, including English, French, Italian, German and Spanish. This tool is particularly useful for those in the humanities and social sciences, providing new ways to engage with textual analysis and language-based research.
