JRC - FIRM is dedicated to sustainable solutions in the fiber to fashion industries. In collaboration with esteemed research and industry organizations, research under JRC -FIRM is focused on renewable fibers, their functional properties, and associated processing and product design. We are committed to expanding the applications of bio-based materials, such as polylactic acid (PLA), in high-value fibers and textiles, biodegradable wearables, and medical devices.
