Prof. Frances WONG

The Joint Research Centre for Primary Health Care (JRCPHC) is a university-level research entity established in January 2024. JRCPHC aims to become a globally recognised centre of excellence in primary health care by bringing together scientists and practitioners from various sectors in Hong Kong, Mainland China, and international regions. The centre focuses on research, knowledge translation, nurturing the next generation of scientists and health professionals, and collaborating with stakeholders to promote population health and well-being both locally and globally.

JRCPHC's research pillars include Continuity and Continuum of Care, Health Information Technology, Implementation Science, and Policy and Stakeholder Engagement. These pillars drive innovation and development in primary health care by transcending disciplinary boundaries and leveraging multidisciplinary efforts.

JRCPHC is committed to innovating primary health care interventions, programmes, and services to address health challenges across the lifespan. We aim to achieve a seamless interface between primary health care and specialised care, develop an equitable and sustainable primary health care model, and engage stakeholders in decision-making. Additionally, JRCPHC strives to stimulate innovations in health information technology, develop implementation science models, cultivate primary health care talent and leadership, and foster interdisciplinary collaboration.

As the Director of JRCPHC, I invite you to explore our website to learn more about our research achievements and impact. You are also welcome to engage in our activities, collaborate with us, or join as a member. Through JRCPHC, we aim to co-create an effective, smart, inclusive, and sustainable primary health care system for the future.
