Multifunctional Platform for Stroke Rehabilitation is an online training platform developed by Ekon Medical Limited (EML) in cooperation with PolyU’s Jockey Club Rehabilitation Engineering Centre (JCREC) of Interdisciplinary Division of Biomedical Engineering. The platform provides clinicians with a comprehensive review of the training progress and assessment of the functional level of stroke patients. It consists of i) Leap Motion Controller, a device to detect users’ hand movement with high accuracy; ii) Rehabilitation Sleeve, which enables users to do passive motions and measure their rehabilitation progress; and iii) a specially designed mouse control plug-in, which enables home-based training for stroke patients.
EML will also develop an online booking and patient rehabilitation record management system for JCREC, to enhance the service excellence of the Centre.
