Vision and Action Technology Co Ltd (VAT) is a startup for the development of the myopia control lens which is based on the DISC technology of the HK PolyU. VAT team members are the professor, Alumi and the optical trade experts, and the company is involved in the lens design, manufacturing system set up, product quality control, lens coatings R&D, distribution channel set up, clinical study, regulatory affairs, sales and marketing of the product in Asia region. VAT worked with Prof. Benny Cheung of HKPU to develop a new patent called nano-structured technology for the DISC technology spectacle  lens development. The lens is called MyoDISC and launched in 2023. VAT is going the develop a new product called DISC-RGP with nano-structured technology in 2024-2026. DISC-RGP is similar to Ortho-K lens and manufactured with hard lens material.
