Summary

Dr. Oliver Woo will discuss the current and future directions of myopia management in Asia with final-year students and local optometrists, particularly focusing on the demand from the Bay Area and greater China. He will outline the available options for myopia management and how to leverage these to enhance professional profiles and careers. Additionally, he will explore the potential of incorporating myopia management into practice growth.


Furthermore, he will address the essentials of co-management with ophthalmologists within the practice. He will also consider how artificial intelligence may impact future careers. Finally, he will pose the question, "Will optometry be a promising profession in the next 5 to 10 years?"

Dr Oliver Woo is a recognised lecturer, mentor and educator in the field of myopia management internationally and has made outstanding contributions to the cause of orthokeratology in Asia. So far, he has been invited to complete more than 200 international lectures related to optometry at international conferences such as the World Ophthalmology Congress (WOC)and International Myopia Conference (IMC) .
