We are pleased to announce the appointment of Prof. Lily Li as Associate Director of the PolyU Academy for Interdisciplinary Research with effect from 16 October 2022. Prof. Li is a Professor in the School of Fashion and Textile at PolyU, Director of The Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel, Former Associate Director of the Research Institute for Sports Science (RISports) at PolyU, and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
Prof. Li's research is characterised by a creative economy, design thinking, and interdisciplinary design methods, which she applies to a variety of issues including the implementation of smart functional textile technologies and advanced manufacturing processes. Both academia and the textile industry have acknowledged Prof. Li’s research work for its positive impact on the textile industry and the greater creative economy.
