Speaking on the development of San Tin Technopole, Prof. Christopher CHAO, Vice President (Research and Innovation) and Director of PReCIT, told SCMP that he believed it won’t repeat the history of Cyberport, whose growth was hindered by a lack of digital and fintech industries.
He also hoped the new hub could also house university laboratories and institutes to provide research talent for multinational companies.
