A task force meeting with the aim of reinforcing Hong Kong's competitiveness and international aviation hub status was held, driving thought-provoking discussions on research collaboration.
Prof. Christopher CHAO, Vice President (Research and Innovation) and PReCIT Director, Prof. T. L. Yip, Associate Professor of the Department of Logistics and Maritime Studies and Director of CY Tung International Centre for Maritime Studies, and PReCIT team of PolyU, Fred Lam, CEO of the Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK), Vivian Cheung, Chief Operating Officer of AAHK, Julia Yan, General Manager of Corporate Planning of AAHK, and think tank representatives of One Country Two Systems Research Institute and Our Hong Kong Foundation discussed directions for fostering Hong Kong’s aviation development by leveraging current strengths and National Development Plan.
Further research studies would be conducted on aviation policy and airspace, collaboration with airports in GBA cities, and new industry opportunities from innovation and technology to enhance the development of Hong Kong’s aviation industry.
