Directors and Core Members

Prof. Xu is a Professor of Renmin University of China (RUC), and has been appointed as Honorary Professor by Department of Applied Social Sciences of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University since October 2022.

Prof. Xu has taken up several leading positions at RUC, including the Vice Dean of National Academy of Development and Strategy (NADS), the Executive Dean of Eurasian Research Institute and the Director of Centre for International Energy and Environment Strategy Studies (CIEESS).

Prof. Xu has also taken up a number of core positions in various national and international organizations, such as the chief expert at the Research Advisory Base of NEA, the standing committee member of Chinese Petroleum Economic Professional Committee, the secretary-in-general and vice-chairman of Renewable Energy Professional Committee of China Energy Research Society, the senior researcher of Eurasian Institute for Social Development of Development Research Center of the State Council, China, the honorary professor of Xinjiang University and the special commentator of CCTV etc. In addition, Prof. Xu is the Dean of National Academy of Belt and Road Green Development (NABRGD), China International Cultural Exchange Center (CICEC).
