Advancing collaborative research with Chinese Academy of Sciences
The University and two research institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) - Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science (AMSS) and Guangzhou Institute of Geochemistry (GIG), recently launched the “CAS AMSS-PolyU Joint Laboratory of Applied Mathematics” and “CAS GIG-PolyU Joint Laboratory of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area for the Environment ” respectively.
Capitalising on the strengths and resources of PolyU and CAS research institutes in applied mathematics and environmental protection, the joint laboratories will nurture talents and promote research development in the areas of applied statistics, financial mathematics, big data, artificial intelligence, air quality improvement, environment and health for city clusters, urban land integrated remediation measures for different types of pollution etc. Details>>
