Prof. Teng Jin-guang appointed as the next PolyU President
The University Council has approved the appointment of Prof. Teng Jin-Guang, incumbent Vice-President of Southern University of Science and Technology, as the new President of PolyU with effect from 1 July 2019 for a term of five years.
Prof. Teng considers the appointment a great honour for him and looks forward to contributing to PolyU on multiple fronts. He met with staff and students to articulate his vision for education and research, which is to provide quality holistic education for students and support colleagues to unleash their potentials.
Joining PolyU in 1994, Prof. Teng has a long association with the University for over 20 years. He is a well-accomplished and highly-cited scientist in the field of structural engineering, and was elected Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2017. Details>>
