Calling for proposals for low-altitude economy related fundamental and application research
The Research Centre for Low Altitude Economy (RCLAE) has established a seed fund in low-altitude economy (LAE) to coordinate PolyU’s LAE research and developments. It aims to facilitate the research and development of the LAE in PolyU and promote external collaboration with leading partners and stakeholders.
The fund will support 4 types of projects with different sizes and durations:
- Application/Platform Projects;
- Fundamental Research Projects;
- Exploratory Projects; and
- Reward of Excellence Projects.
Please find more details in the "Guideline for project application".
Projects that are cross-departmental and those that are collaborative in nature addressing challenges arising in the development and deployment of LAE are particularly encouraged.
The seed fund is to prime the pump of LAE research and development in PolyU. The project teams are expected to deliver high-quality publications and demonstration on PolyU campus and beyond, and to secure competitive external funds, such as CRF, RIF, and industry collaborations. All PolyU members are cordially invited to submit proposals using the application form directly to RCLAE at info.rclae@polyu.edu.hk.
