Following the momentous Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony, Dr Sun Yongning, Vice President of Shanghai TCM hospital and his team visited the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) on 5 November 2024.
The delegation received a warm welcome from Prof. WANG Zuankai, Associate Vice President (Research and Innovation), Prof. CHEN Qingyan, Director of PolyU Academy for Interdisciplinary Research (PAIR), Prof. WONG Man-sau, Director of the Research Centre for Chinese Medicine Innovation (RCMI), and other RCMI key members.
During the visit, the two groups engaged in a productive exchange meeting and discussed the implementation of the project in joint laboratory talents to promote the Chinese medicine research. By exploring potential collaborations, the Chinese medicine scientific research promotion enhanced.
Shanghai TCM hospital have a guided tour of the Mass Spectrometers Laboratory of University Research Facility in Chemical and Environmental Analysis, the Wellness & Exercises Laboratory in the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences and, PolyU Optometry Clinic to explore more collaboration between different field and Chinese medicine.
This visit facilitated communication with relevant Chinese medicine and wellness stakeholders, enhanced understanding of ongoing projects and notable discoveries.
