The Centre’s representative, Prof. WONG Mansau, Prof. Simon LEE, and Dr XIAO Huihui, attended the Annual Meeting of the Guizhou Provincial Professional Committee of Integrative Meidicine in General Surgery and the Guizhou Provincial Medical Association (Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition Branch) on August 30-31, 2024 in Guizhou Province.
During the event, Prof. Simon LEE gave a presentation on "Chemical Compositions and Biological Functions of Medicine-Food Homology and Novel Food Ingredients." whereas Dr XIAO shared her research findings on treatment and prevention of osteoporosis with TCM.They also participated in an academic salon themed "Integrating Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine to Build a Healthy China: Clinical Nutrition Academic Salon" where they discussed the possibilities and ways forward for China in reshaping its healthcare system with integrative medicine.
