Research Centre for Chinese Medicine Innovation (RCMI) held retreat on December 4th at Kerry Hotel. The event provided a platform for knowledge exchange and deeper insights into RCMI’s academic research.
Prof. Man-sau Wong, Director of RCMI, presented the centre’s latest research achievements and activities, allowing attendees to gain a comprehensive understanding of RCMI’s endeavors. The retreat featured a range of stimulating sessions, including a captivating Keynote Speech by Prof. Simon Lee, engaging Group Discussions, informative presentations on RCMI funded projects, and insightful Panel Discussions. Participants not only learned about the impressive research outcomes but also offered valuable suggestions for the centre’s future development. The event received praise from the attendees for its impactful and productive nature, fostering a collaborative and innovative research community.
Following the retreat, the RCMI Committee Members, along with four esteemed International Advisory Board (IAB) members, convened the 2nd IAB meeting at HKSTP the following day. The meeting provided a platform for open and fruitful discussions, acknowledging the centre’s past achievements while offering invaluable recommendations for its future direction.
Subsequently, the group visited the Government Chinese Medicines Testing Institute (GCMTI), Centre for Eye and Vision Research (CVER), and Sik Sik Yuen Chinese Medicine Services Centre. Through these visits, participants deepened their understanding of Hong Kong’s current landscape and practices in Chinese medicine development, providing valuable insights for the centre’s future growth and international collaborations.
