Children Vision: from seeing to learning
Good vision is fundamental for sensory, motor, social and communicative, emotional, and cognitive development, especially in children. Abnormal development of the visual system can result in permanent visual deficiencies that often influence children’s daily living and school learning, leading to their low self-esteem and negative psychosocial development. RCSV aims to enhance and enrich children’s vision in a multidisciplinary approach such that the child is taken care of in a holistic management, through cutting-edge techniques and evidence-based research.

Neurovision: from rehabilitation to regeneration
Aging of the visual system and neurodegeneration along the visual pathway impairs visual functions, psychosocial health and quality of life. The prevalence of mild- to blinded-visual impairment has grown with the global aging population. RCSV aims to enhance and restore the vision of the aged and visually impaired population via advanced visual rehabilitation and regeneration technologies. The development of the state-of-art therapies in neuro-regeneration and neuro-rescue will bring about profound impacts on local and global population.
