In December 2023, PolyU has subscribed to the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) Program. The CITI Program is an online platform offering comprehensive training in research ethics and compliance, which can enhance your professional profile and demonstrate your dedication to highest standards in research and compliance.
With this subscription, all students and staff can access to the following courses:

- Compensation Reporting (Effort Reporting)
- Conflicts of Interest
- Export Compliance
- False Claims Act: A Primer and Guide for Research Organizations
- GDPR for Research and Higher Ed
- Good Clinical Practice
- Human Subjects Research: Biomedical and Social/Behavioral (plus Revised Common Rule)
- Information Privacy and Security
- Responsible Conduct of Research
- Technology Transfer
- Undue Foreign Influence: Risks and Mitigations
To subscribe, you may register a new CITI Program account with your PolyU email to access the above courses, by following the steps as below:
- Visit the CITI Program website at https://www.citiprogram.org/.
- Click on the "Register" button, input “The Hong Kong Polytechnic University” as your organization affiliation.
- Fill in your personal information and use your PolyU Email Address for the account registration
- After registration, you will have access to the mentioned courses.

Upon successful completion of each course, you will receive a completion certificate (Please click here for details).
