Biography

Dr Hui ZHANG is a Research Assistant Professor at the Department of Rehabilitation Studies, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). After obtaining the Doctor of Philosophy of Neuroscience at The University of Hong Kong, she underwent postdoctoral fellowship at the HKU Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine.

Dr Zhang's research expertise lies on gerontology, neuroscience, diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) and functional MRI (fMRI). Her works have been published on international journals such as Brain Sciences, GeroScience and Scientific reports. Moreover, she has led funded research projects evaluating the training effects of intelligent wearable systems on patients with Parkinson's disease.

By joining RISA, Dr Zhang strives to contribute her expertise to the field of social ageing and foster innovative, impactful research addressing the challenges of ageing through interdisciplinary collaboration.
