Biography

Dr. Kitty Huang is a Research Assistant Professor at the PolyU School of Nursing. She obtained the Bachelor's and PHD degree at the School of Nursing, Tianjin Medical University in 2017 and 2022 respectively. After obtaining her PHD degree, she joined PolyU School of Nursing as a Postdoctoral Fellow in 2022 and was later promoted as Research Assistant Professor.

Dr. Huang's aspires to bridge research and practice to foster person-centered care and optimize aging-in-place strategies, ultimately creating a sustainable and inclusive society for elderlies. Her research expertise areas encompass dementia care and preventive approaches for cognitive impairment. She also contributes to ageing studies through applying virtual reality‐based simulation intervention for enhancing the empathy of informal caregivers of people with dementia, integrating social media to enhance digital health literacy for people with chronic illness and caregivers. Dr. Huang has received competitive grants funded by Hospital Authority and Global Chinese Breast Cancer Organizations Alliance Limited (GCBCOA).
