Research Overview
My research interests involve:
1) understanding the underlying neural basis of functional impairments
and its relationship with cognition and mobility among aging clinical populations; and
2) identifying and evaluating CNS-related interventions to promote cognitive and mobility outcomes in clinical
populations.
Specifically, I use a combination of advanced neuroimaging techniques to examine the
neural signatures of impaired cognitive function and mobility and how they may change as a result of
specific interventions. I have experience working with a variety of clinical populations, including those
with stroke, mild cognitive impairment, and impaired mobility.
