Prof. Bernadette Maria Watson is an Honorary Professor in the Department of English and Communication at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). She is also a Registered Psychologist. 

Prof. Watson is dedicated to conducting impactful research to promote community health by collaborating with health professionals from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds. She has contributed to the field of smart ageing by utilizing mHealth to facilitate access to health information among Chinese older adults. Besides, Prof. Watson has received research grants from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University's VPRD Reserve for her projects on using mHealth to promote home safety for senior citizens in Hong Kong, demonstrating her significant impact on smart health and smart ageing.
