Prof. CHAU Lap-Pui is a Professor at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). He received the Ph.D. degree from PolyU in 1997. Prof. Chau is an IEEE fellow and he has served as associate editors for several IEEE journals and program chairs for some international conferences.
Prof. Chau's research expertise areas encompass image and video analytics, machine learning. He had publications in journals such as IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics. By joining RISA, Prof. Chau endeavors to develop technologies of image and video analytics and medical imaging for senior citizens.
