Prof. Angela Leung is the Associate Head (Research) and a Professor at the School of Nursing, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU SN). She also serves as the Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Community Health Services, PolyU SN.

Prof. Leung is dedicated to fostering the health and well-being of senior citizens through an interdisciplinary approach. She has collaborated with academics and healthcare professionals in nursing, medicine, social work, pharmacy, education, and physical exercise science in her research. In addition, she has established networks with non-governmental organizations and corporations including the Hong Kong Housing Society, Astrix and the Hong Kong Science and Technology Corporation. Prof. Leung has successfully secured competitive research grants from both local and international funders, such as the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (KI-PolyU) Collaborative Research Fund, the Kamprad Foundation Fund of Sweden and The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charity Trust. 

Furthermore, Prof. Leung won the Excellent Health Promotion Project Award at the Health Research Symposium 2021, which recognized her efforts and expertise in advancing community health through technological innovations. She is also an expert in health literacy and dementia caregiving with multiple publications in international journals. With her expertise, she also contributed to governmental and professional bodies such as Food and Health Bureau, The Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Asia Health Literacy Association (AHLA).
