I obtained my bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from PolyU in 2021. My research interest is stroke rehabilitation. I chose to further my studies at PolyU due to the advanced equipment and professional resources offered by RS, which I felt could support and guide me throughout my MPhil study.
My current research aims to investigate the effect of transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) on cognitive function and upper limb motor function and evaluate the cortical response using electroencephalography (EEG) during TENS in people with chronic stroke. The findings will help healthcare professionals to improve post-stroke cognitive impairment for which effective treatments are currently lacking and to deepen the understanding of brain plasticity induced by TENS in people with stroke.
