Biography
Dr Tan’s research focuses on cognitive health in the aspect of normal ageing and pathological degeneration among seniors in the community and employs investigative methods such as transcranial direct current stimulation, electrophysiological measures, and qualitative approach. Her clinical experience focused on geriatric practice, particularly dementia, alongside with stroke rehabilitation. She was previously a Clinical Associate with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Upon returning to Singapore, she worked as an Assistant Professor with the Singapore Institute of Technology for two years. She then spent two years working in a para-government agency with concentration in programme evaluation of community care services in Singapore before returning to Hong Kong.
