Al Zoubi博士在约旦科技大学(JUST)取得物理治疗学理学士学位,并获纽约科技学院(NYIT)颁授专业理学硕士学位。及后,他于麦基尔大学获取以研究为基础的康复理学硕士和博士学位(主修肌肉骨骼康复,副修下腰痛),并在该大学完成循证实践的测量及知识转化的博士后培训。在加入理大之前,Al Zoubi博士曾于麦基尔大学任教物理治疗及职业治疗专业硕士课程,并教授康复科学研究生课程,亦曾在约旦和加拿大从事数年的物理治疗工作,专治肌肉骨骼和老年疾病。
Al Zoubi博士的主要研究方向包括实施临床服务指引的建议和最佳实践方法以改善患者的护理和保健疗效、为腰椎活动度制定创新的结果衡量指标、运用现代测量理论为循证实践开发一种可靠的测量方法、以理论方法弥合康复实践中证据与实践之间的差距、了解为背痛人士和长者而设的健康指标。Al Zoubi博士亦是知识合成方法论的专家,其研究包括范围界定审核、系统评价、综合分析和临床服务指引。此外,他在测量、定量和定性方法以及大型数据库的分析方面也拥有广泛的专业知识。
Al Zoubi博士曾获多个研究机构颁赠学术奖项、研究金和拨款,当中包括加拿大卫生研究院(CIHR)、大蒙特利尔康复跨学科研究中心(CRIR)和加拿大Richard and Edith Strauss基金会。他的研究成果曾在不同的国际期刊上发表,如Implementation Science、BMC Health Services Research、BMC Musculoskeletal Disorders、Clinical Rehabilitation及Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics。
