陳子頌博士分別在加拿大西門菲沙大學及香港理工大學完成人體運動學士和職業治療學士課程。隨後,他於香港一所復康醫院中擔任職業治療師近十年,為患有脊髓損傷、骨科及中風等人士提供康復訓練。在臨床執業期間,他亦獲得輔助技術師(RESNA,美國)及人生教練(the Institution for Life Coach Training,美國)的專業認證。在學術領域方面,他的哲學碩士論文乃研究長期病患人士在參與社區自我管理小組的過程中,心理因素對行為改變的影響。在完成博士研究期間,陳博士曾以研究員的身分,到加拿大多倫多的Rotman研究學院,參與有關腦神經科學的研究項目。隨後發表的博士論文是有關慢性疼痛的患者以自我調整的思維模式控制痛覺時,當中的神經處理過程。陳博士曾於多份的國際期刊中,如PLoS ONE, Rehabilitation Psychology and Spinal Cord,發表文章。他亦被數份國際期刊,如NeuroRehabilitation, Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Disability and Rehabilitation,邀請為文章評審。在2009年,他獲頒尤德爵士紀念獎學金。
