Prof. William Ho is Professor of Operations and Supply Chain Management in the Department of Management and Marketing at the University of Melbourne, Australia. His research expertise includes supply chain risk management and sustainable supply chain management. Prof. Ho has published over 60 papers in leading journals, such as Journal of Operations Management, Operations Research, Decision Sciences, European Journal of Operational Research, and many others. With his works being cited over 10,000 times by other scholars, Prof. Ho was decorated with a number of research awards and secured five major competitive research grants funded by the Australian, Chinese, European, and the U.K. governments. As a dedicated educator and an ardent advocate of innovative teaching, Prof. Ho has developed and coordinated academic programmes for undergraduates, postgraduates, PhD candidates and executives, in the areas of operations management, supply chain management, and business analytics. In addition, as Programme Director, he also developed a number of online courses for the Master of Supply Chain Management programme. With teaching experiences in renowned institutions around the world, multiple teaching awards were bestowed upon him, including the Melbourne Excellence Award – Edward Brown Award for Teaching Excellence, and the Aston Excellence Award – Outstanding Teacher of the Year.

Dr Lee Kang-kuen, a Chartered Engineer (UK), member of The Institution of Engineering and Technology (UK), and a Fellow of The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, has devoted himself to the railway industry for 40-plus years. He has extensive experiences in Hong Kong, Mainland China, Sweden, India, the Middle East, the Philippines, Singapore and Australia. His responsibilities include rolling stock and infrastructure maintenance; design and construction of new railway lines, major asset upgrading and replacement projects; as well as operations, business development and consultancy services. In Australia, Dr Lee spearheaded the first driverless line in Sydney Metro and oversaw the inauguration of first passenger service. Since 2016, Dr Lee has also been serving as a Consultant to Singapore’s Land Transport Authority regarding metro asset condition assessment, as well as a Member of the Technical Advisory Panel and a Technical Mentor of Singapore Mass Rapid Transit Corporation. A devoted scholar, Dr Lee has been conducting research on the use of Fibre Bragg Grating sensors for continuous monitoring of mission critical railway components. He also investigates the development of Smart Railway Linear Infrastructure and Smart Trains using artificial intelligence.
