On 4 May 2023, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), China Resources Enterprise Ltd (China Resources) and China Resources Research Institute of Science and Technology signed a Memorandum of Understanding to deepen research collaboration. They also signed a Framework Agreement on the establishment of the CR–PolyU Joint Research Institute for Carbon Neutral New Materials.
Moving forward, China Resources and PolyU will jointly carry out carbon neutrality and sustainability-driven projects at the Institute, promote talent development, and provide incubation support for technology start-ups in the field of sustainability.
