Focusing on structural engineering and fire safety research, Dr Abdoh Daud Ali Ahmad, Research Assistant Professor of the Department of Building Environment and Energy Engineering at PolyU, recognises the strength of a diverse team with a shared objective in tackling challenges like fire and creating innovative solutions for a sustainable living environment.
Hailing from Jordan, Dr Abdoh's research focuses on developing innovative solutions for fire modelling, heat transfer, and fracture mechanics. He is passionate about applying numerical methods and efficient algorithms to address complex engineering challenges.
Attracted to PolyU by its high academic standards and commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration, Dr Abdoh values the diverse engineering disciplines that enhance his research. Collaborating with diverse researchers and academics also enriches his work with additional experience and knowledge.
Since joining PolyU, Dr Abdoh has successfully published in Q1 journals and gained valuable experience in experimental fire research. Mentoring students has further refined his research skills, creating a dynamic learning environment for all involved.
