Gamified infection control training system
This is a gamified training system on infection control practices, which is tailor-made for all staff in residential care homes to improve their compliance rates and knowledge of standard precautions. It comprises of eight games and these games are developed with reference to WHO and Department of Health infection control guidelines.
The staff can use the system at any time for two weeks, and their training will be supported by an infection control nurse. This is evidenced to be effective to enhance staff’s infection control practices and knowledge. It can be used as a stand-alone system or a supplement to the existing training system. Users’ performance is recorded and it can be converted to a report of staff’s training that can be submitted to health authority for annual record and audit.
