Mr Michele De Lucchi

Mr Michele De Lucchi in an Italian architect,  designer and artist. He was one of the leading figures of Alchimia and Memphis and head of Design at Olivetti (1988-2002). He is the designer of the world’s best-selling lamp, the Tolomeo from Artemide, which received the Compasso d’Oro in 1987. He has designed furniture for the most renowned Italian and European companies and has realized architectural projects all over the world, comprising cultural, business, industrial and residential buildings. In 2000 he was  appointed Officer of the Italian Republic by President Azeglio Ciampi. In 2001 he was appointed professor at the  IUAV university in Venice and he received an honorary degree from Kingston University in 2006. Since 2008 he has been a Professor at the Design Faculty of the Politecnico of Milan and a member of the Accademia Nazionale di San Luca in Rome. In 2018 he was Guest Editor of the magazine “Domus”.
