Kiki interned at Durian Limited, where she expected that her typesetting skills would be enhanced and that she would enjoy the process of creating and applying ideas to real client campaigns.

Learning Goals and Outcomes

During her internship, Kiki was assigned to work on new product promotion and event campaign design and to act as a “social retainer.” This enabled her to develop her practical skills, including typesetting, and to identify her strengths and weaknesses. Through her efforts, she gained recognition and made friends in the workplace, thereby expanding her relationship network.

Internship Outputs and Amazing Experiences

Kiki considers her internship an invaluable experience. One of her tasks was to find sound effects that matched each step of a snap photo booth machine’s operation. In addition, she had the opportunity to visit Durian’s TC (Color Grading) and the online room to learn more about Durian’s operations in the “Durex 001 Ultra Lube” project. The design process associated with creating props for the photo booth strengthened her creative-thinking skills. Furthermore, witnessing her designs come to life during her work at Durian Limited made her happy.

Kiki’s workplace supervisor commented that Kiki was a quick learner, knew how to use different software, had a range of skills (such as in video editing and composing), and was an enthusiastic participant in daily activities at the company.
