2. Should I stay in the campus during the competition?

Following the competition launch announcement, participants are not required to remain on campus.

3. Can I use the resources supported before and after the competition?

We encourage participants to familiarize themselves with the generative platforms before the competition. Detailed information will be provided during the competition briefing.

4. To what extent should AI be involved in the film?

We encourage participants to explore the intersection of filmmaking and generative AI. Entries may be created entirely using AI tools or may incorporate traditional filmmaking and animation techniques to support storytelling. We seek both compelling narratives and innovative applications of AI tools.

5. How can all team members access the resources provided?

We will provide a single set of resources to support your production, ie. one computer workstation and one generative AI account per platform. Teams are strongly encouraged to implement efficient task distribution and develop a comprehensive time management strategy. Additional production cost will be covered by the team.

6. How many participants can attend the workshop?

Due to limited seating, only one representative from each group may participate in the hands-on workshop.

7. As a student partnering with a non-student, which category should our team register for?

o foster peer learning and collaboration, we encourage PolyU students to form teams with other PolyU students. For events with a mix of student and public participants, you may register for the public category.

8. Should I register for the workshop separately?

The workshop is designed to support participants in preparation for their competition, with extra seats open to PolyU students and staff. Registration for additional participants and non-participants will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis, subject to availability. Therefore, you can still register for the workshop even if you are not selected for the competition and did not secure a guaranteed seat.
