MSc in Innovative Multimedia Entertainment (MScIME) and Master of Design (MDes) Info Session in Shanghai

The MSc in Innovative Multimedia Entertainment (MScIME) was designed to supersede the former MSc in Multimedia and Entertainment Technology (MScMET) prorgramme. MScIME builds upon the foundations of and evolving beyond the earlier iterations of the MScMET programme, which has been a cornerstone of our educational offerings for over 20 years, educating more than 1,000 students in building multimedia products and applications.

The Master of Design (MDes) Scheme, established in 2004, was PolyU's first taught postgraduate program. Its excellence has gained local and international recognition, including being named one of the World's 30 Best Design Thinking Programs by BusinessWeek in 2009. Since 2020, the MDes has qualified under the UGC's Targeted Taught Postgraduate Programmes Fellowships Scheme for creative industries in Hong Kong. In 2022, it introduced a refreshed curriculum aimed at developing proactive leaders for the future. The programme's relevance is evident through increasing student interest, participation in academic conferences and design competitions, and growing employment opportunities for graduates.

Programme Leader of MScIME, Prof. Henry Duh, and Scheme Leader of MDes, Prof. Stephen Wang, will provide a detailed introduction to the new MScIME and MDes programmes at the offline Info Session in Shanghai.
