The "Hong Kong Footholds in GBA: Campus-neighbouring Intergenerational Housing" research project is a joint effort by a group of PolyU experts that outlines the challenges, methods, and recommendations for creating inclusive and self-sufficient communities for all age groups in GBA. It represents an important step in understanding the needs and preferences of Hong Kong residents considering intergenerational co-housing in other GBA cities, paving the way for future co-housing in the vibrant Greater Bay Area.
The project was presented at the "GBA Design Laboratory: Sustainable City X Inclusive Society X Green Economy" Collaborative Research - Collective Final Presentation on 4 December 2023, in collaboration with Chinachem Group led by Mr Donald Choi, Executive Director and CEO and PolyU’s Research and Innovation Office.
