XPLORER – AI-Driven, Personalised Sky Tours for Millennial Adventurers

by Chan Cham Fung, Hui Man Chuen, Lo Yun Lam Daniel

Master of Design (Intelligent Systems Design)

XPLORER is an intelligent system revolutionises luxury tourism with the innovative application of eVTOL (electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing) technology for millennial adventurers. Inspired by Moscardo's (2018) framework on tourist experience design, it emphasises authentic characters, cognitive orientation, and enhanced choice and control for tourists. Utilising advanced multi-layer maps and AI-driven guides, this system encourages learning and exploration of unique, exotic locations.

This system features two key innovations: the advanced multi-layered map and personalised AI-driven guides. The advanced multi-layered map offers real-time, detailed information about the travel route, enhancing cognitive orientation for passengers. Hidden features within the map encourage the exploration of unique and exotic locations, catering to the adventurous spirit of millennials. Personalised AI-driven guides deliver consistent and high-quality cultural insights tailored to individual preferences, ensuring each passenger receives relevant and engaging information. The AI guides maintain stable performance, eliminating variability seen with human pilots, and providing a reliable source of knowledge and entertainment.
