SONIC OCEAN: Protecting Chinese White Dolphin’s Habitat

On the west side of Lantau Island in Hong Kong is the main habitat of the Chinese white dolphin, a national first-class protected animal. However, due to the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, airport runways, reclamation and land expansion projects surrounding the place (Tai O Fishing Village), the ocean noise and seawater pollution cause the reduction of the white dolphins and their food, such as fish and crustaceans.
