Zhiming Deng is a Research Assistant Professor in the School of Hotel and Tourism Management (SHTM) at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She joined SHTM as a Postdoctoral Fellow in June 2022 after obtaining her PhD from The University of Queensland. Her industry experience includes a six-month full-time trainee position in the Front Office Department at JW Marriott Hotel Macau. She has one and a half years of experience as a digital editor at GRAZIA Australia, concentrating on branding and digital marketing.

Her research interests revolve around trends in information communication and technology (ICT) and their applications and implications in the tourism and hospitality industry. Her recent research has been focused on exploring technology innovations for hotel ESG initiatives and promoting pro-environmental behaviors among consumers and businesses.
