RISE 2018-19 (4th Cohort) takes place from January to June, 2019. Signifying “Responsibility, Impact, Serve, Empower”, RISE crossovers 3-credit APSS2S09 Service Leadership through Serving Children and Families with Special Needs in Vietnam. It covers a leadership adventure camp, lectures on Service Leadership, workshops on cultural competence and service project planning etc. during Semester 2; while in May, students will go to Vietnam for service-learning An Giang Province, southwest to Ho Chi Minh City.
The RISE Camp on 26-27 January 2019 at the Noah's Ark, which aims to build up the students' relationships and cohesiveness, has completed with a series of team building activities and training.

In 2017/18, the third cohort of RISE embedded with a three-credit service-learning subject APSS2S09 Service Leadership through Serving Children and Families with Special Needs in Vietnam. With the piloted leadership education structure that involves peer learning through team building orientation and camp, lectures on Service Leadership, and experiential workshops on cultural competence and global issues, 45 students from eleven countries travelled to Vietnam for local studies and service-learning in Ho Chi Minh City and An Giang Province. The students learnt about social situation of post-war Vietnam and served local children and families. They also collaborated with students from Vietnam National University and An Giang University.

RISE 2017-18 (2nd Cohort) completed their outbound study-cum-service trip in South Korea in January 2018. Upon social innovation, students this cohort visited Heyground, Sungoo Valley, and Seoul Upcycling Plaza - the biggest upcycling centre in the world, in Seoul. Thereafter, the students travelled to Mokpo, southern rural area of South Korea, and performed three day service to local elderlies and children. The programme was joint by Ewha Womans University in Seoul, and Mokpo National University in Mokpo.
52 students of 6 different nationalities joined the first cohort of RISE (Sep 2016 – Jan 2017). They completed all cognitive, emotional, and cultural trainings and workshops, and travelled to the Sharing City – Seoul, Korea, under the theme “sharing economy and social innovation” and visited the well-developed social innovations, cooperatives etc. They also served in both Seoul and Mokpo (southern part of Korea) in partnership with Ewha Womans University and Mokpo National University. The two partnered universities mobilised 30 students in total for the programme.
