HK Innovation Day returned with SN team won the Social Innovation Award
The School’s Hong Kong Innovation Day (HKID) cum Innovation Awards Competition returned this year with 15 finalist teams giving pitches in front of the judging panel to bid for unique opportunities to represent Hong Kong to compete for the highest innovation awards at the Global Healthcare Innovation day, held in the UK. Among them are six staff members of the School representing four innovations, including the Virtual Hospital, Osteoporosis Prediction Tool, Edge Artificial Intelligent for Hand Hygiene Monitoring, and a Feasible Moxibustion Device.
Dr Kitty Chan, Senior Teaching Fellow, and her team won the Social Innovation Award. This was the 5th HKID host by the School and the project submissions (30 projects) reached the highest-ever in the 10-year history of the HKID.
