PolyU adopts an equal opportunities policy in admitting applicants with disabilities / special educational needs so long as they fulfil the essential academic requirements for entry and satisfy the physical demands of particular schemes / programmes, if necessary with reasonable use of assistive technology.
Applicants with disabilities / special educational needs have the right to choose, at their own discretion, whether to submit information in relation to their disabilities / special educational needs at application so as to enable the University to have their disabilities / special educational needs taken into consideration during the admission selection process. Such an arrangement, if exercised by the applicants, is intended to enable these applicants to be counselled as to the suitability or otherwise of the scheme(s) / programme(s) they have chosen, and to enable them to find out as early as possible the special assistance and facilities the University could provide to them on admission.
