Other Fees
A schedule of other fees that are chargeable to students is published in the Student Handbook. All students are advised to refer to the Student Handbook on web for details.
Caution Money
Caution money is chargeable to all students at first registration. This sum is refundable to students who withdraw from study properly if they have no outstanding fees/claims to be paid to the University and they have returned their student identity cards. The sum will be converted to the graduation fee upon completion of a scheme / programme.
General Expenses
Apart from the prescribed fees, students are required to bear the general expenses, such as academic and living expenses, for their study.
Students may draw reference from the maximum academic expense grant offered to eligible local students under the HKSAR Government's Tertiary Student Finance Scheme - Publicly-funded Programmes (TSFS) in 2024/25. That figure is HK$9,350 to HK$14,590 for most PolyU disciplines and HK$42,440 for the design discipline. The maximum loan offered for living expenses is HK$58,890.
