About the Conference
In fostering the extensive collaboration within the tertiary education sector, the UGC-funded Project on SYA students led by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (SYA Project) is organising a conference with the theme of “Conference on Credit Transfer Practices in Higher Education: Partnership for Success” with the collaboration of Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) and the Federation for Self-financing Tertiary Education (FSTE).
In response to the unfavourable learning experience of senior-year admitted (SYA) students and the inadequate transparency and promulgation of the credit transfer information for sub-degree graduates, this conference aims to promote a cross-institutional cultural change, shifting from competition to collaboration for the benefits of students, institutions, community and government as well as to serve as a platform for all stakeholders to learn from overseas experience in credit transfer and to discuss the application on the integration of well-recognised practices into the local higher education context.
