Dr Jimmy Chiang is the Associate Director-General of Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK), a government department dedicated to attracting foreign direct investment into Hong Kong. Dr Chiang joined InvestHK in 2003 and was promoted to Head of Tourism and Hospitality in 2010; he was further elevated to his current position in 2015. In this role, he oversees the operations of over 30 overseas and Mainland offices, as well as specialist teams in various sectors. Dr Chiang regularly hosts seminars and attends international trade conferences to promote Hong Kong’s unique advantages. He also regularly visits potential international investors to discuss the latest developments in bilateral business relations, and how to further cooperation and economic work processes. Graduated in 2013, Dr Chiang is a distinguished alumnus of the School of Hotel and Tourism Management (SHTM)’s Doctor of Hotel and Tourism Management programme. He is an active member of the graduate community, contributing his expertise as a Student Advisor and Visiting Lecturer at SHTM, where students have benefitted from his international vision, his deep engagement in tourism and hospitality, and his professionalism.
