On graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Design (Interior Design) in 1991, Mr Ed Ng Chung-hong  pursued a career in hospitality design driven by his interest in global cultures. After gaining experience in design, architecture, and development practices, he co-founded AB Concept, now an interior design powerhouse, in 1999. Mr Ng believes good interior design stems from the human experience, and that a hospitality designer acts as a cultural partner. “I consider myself fortunate to have grown up in Hong Kong, a city with an open-minded appreciation for diverse cultures”, he says. Mr Ng leads a design team with bases in Hong Kong, Taipei, Kyoto, London, and Milan. The team has undertaken top-tier hotel projects spanning different continents, including the renowned ARGO bar at the Four Seasons Hotel, Hong Kong, and the W Algarve by W Hotels in Portugal. Other projects include the recently renovated lobby lounge at the Ritz–Carlton, Tokyo, and the iconic Italian restaurant Paper Moon in the Raffles Hotel, London.

Mr Jacky WONG Yuk-po

Bachelor of Arts in Design (Fashion with Visual Communication) (2003)
Mr Jacky Wong Yuk-po graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Design (Fashion with Visual Communication) in 2003. Following multidisciplinary studies at the School of Design in the same year, he was recruited by an international Belgium-based brand. In 2006, he  won the Top 10 Finalist Designers honour in the Hong Kong Young Designers’ Contest. After beginning his career in the Chinese market, Mr Wong was appointed Brand Director and Deputy General Manager of a Singapore-listed company, where he collaborated closely with top Asian artist Stefanie Sun. Mr Wong’s work has been recognised by multiple multinational companies and brands for his company’s design input, from brand strategy planning, merchandise design, and production to marketing and creative spaces. His clients include Coca Cola, Arena, and Gibson, a top guitar brand. In 2018, Mr Wong launched his own fashion and art lifestyle retail brand 3omthingchic, or 3TC, which has created fashion and art lifestyle spaces in China, Singapore, and Japan.  In 2022, he was invited by the Intangible Cultural Heritage Office of Sichuan Province to create an NFT digital asset for the Sanxingdui ruins. He was also appointed as the office’s Creative Design Adviser.

Ms Malou KO

Founder & Creative, THE CABINET

Bachelor of Arts in Design (Industrial & Product) (2010)
Ms Malou Ko is a Hong Kong-based international award-winning branding designer. In 2005, she launched THE CABINET design studio, where she has worked on more than 200 international and local projects with over 120 clients. She graduated from PolyU in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Design (Industrial and Product) from the School of Design. By connecting people through her designs, Ms Ko has won more than 90 local and international design awards. Design competitions at which she has earned awards include the Golden Pin Design Awards, the Creative Communication Awards, the Kyoto Global Design Awards, the International Design Awards, the London International Creative Competition, the DNA Paris Design Awards, the Grands Prix du Design Awards, the Hong Kong Brand Design Awards, and the Hong Kong Smart Design Awards. Her work has been described as pleasing, delicate and impactful. In 2020, Ms Ko established her own lifestyle design brand, HumanKind. By exploring different human thoughts and reactions, she hopes to design humorous products that bring happiness to people. HumanKind’s first design release, Wishes Plate, has won 10 design awards and has been featured in Marie Claire, Esquire and Art and Piece. It has been exhibited at M+ Museum, the Asia Society Hong Kong Center, and several hotels in Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and Japan.

Ms Comma LEUNG Man-wai

Creative Director, Mosi Design Limited

Bachelor of Arts in Design (Visual Communication) (2015)
After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Design (Visual Communication) from the School of Design at PolyU in 2015, Ms Comma Leung Man-wai worked for renowned design studios in Japan. Later in 2015, she founded Mosi Mosi, which aims to connect people through design, and began collaborating with diverse people to promote social inclusion. Ms Leung’s achievements have been widely recognised. She has won multiple awards in the fields of design and social enterprises, including the Design for Asia (DFA) Awards, Pentawards’ Silver Award, the Golden Pin Design Award, DFA’s Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award, and the Hong Kong Designers Association Hong Kong Best. She has also received the Champion and Best Social Mission awards at the Hong Kong Social Enterprise Challenge. Ms Leung’s works have been showcased worldwide, including in Germany and Japan, and in Taiwan. She has been featured in a documentary made by NHK, a Japanese broadcasting company, and has been interviewed by Radio Sweden.
