摘要

With the advancements in technologies, real-time traffic information can be collected and disseminated more efficiently. We examine travelers' decision-making and impacts of traffic information, when uncertainties are introduced in a road network with a mixed traffic flow of connected vehicles (CVs) and regular vehicles (RVs). A two-sided market equilibrium model is developed to investigate both travelers’ route and vehicle choices with the presence of CVs. We further examine the impact of en-route information, which travelers often acquire and update their route choices en-route. Considering real-time traffic information can aid travelers in making online routing decisions, we also develop a scalable learning approach using a Morkov game to coordinate online routing decisions.  Our approach offers a practical solution to improve the efficiency and reliability of traffic networks, benefiting both individual travelers and society as a whole.
